Which granular activated carbon do you need?

Traitement de l'eau

Specify the target contaminant, water conditions, flow rate and required particle size before selecting a coal-based or coconut shell grade.

Récupération de l'or

Confirm the CIP, CIL or CIC circuit, particle size, gold adsorption requirements and resistance to attrition for the selected grade.

Air and gas treatment

Identify the target gas, concentration, flow rate, temperature and humidity, and confirm whether a standard or impregnated grade is required.

Food and beverage processing

Confirm the process medium, treatment objective and applicable compliance requirements. Match these to a documented grade and suitability test.

Coconut shell and coal-based granular activated carbon samples

Qu'est-ce que le charbon actif granulé ?

Granular activated carbon (GAC), also called granulated activated carbon or granular activated charcoal, is a porous adsorbent supplied as granules. It is produced from carbonaceous raw materials through carbonization, activation and screening. Material, particle size and surface treatment should be selected for the intended process.

For an impregnated grade, the impregnant and operating conditions must be matched to the target contaminant.

We specialize in steam-activated coconut shell-based granular activated carbon and coal-based granular activated carbon (bituminous coal and anthracite), supplied with different specifications.

Granular activated carbon for water treatment

Granular activated carbon for water treatment

Provide various specifications of coal-based or coconut shell activated carbon for drinking water filter, industrial water treatment, sewage and wastewater purification, etc.
  • Particle-size options: 6×16, 8×30, 12×40, 20×50 and 30×60 mesh. Confirm the grade and sieve specification.
  • Iodine number range shown for these options: 600–1200 mg/g. Refer to the selected grade’s TDS.
  • Confirm whether water washing or acid washing is required for your process.
  • Grade selection depends on the target contaminant, water chemistry, contact time and required outlet quality. Chloramine treatment requires suitable catalytic activity and contact time; dissolved metal removal requires contaminant-specific assessment.

Charbon actif en grains (CAG) pour l'épuration des gaz

Granular activated carbon for air and gas treatment

Select a granular activated carbon grade for the specific gas or vapour to be treated. Target contaminant, concentration, humidity, temperature, contact time and pressure drop affect suitability. Some duties require a specialised impregnated or catalytic grade; one standard carbon should not be assumed suitable for every pollutant.
  • Particle-size options: 4×8, 4×12 and 6×16 mesh
  • Iodine number range: 950–1150 mg/g; confirm the selected grade’s specification
  • Coconut shell-based or coal-based grades; confirm suitability for the target gas

FAQs

Can I request a sample before placing an order?

Sample orders can be requested for testing and evaluation. Product photographs, a TDS or an SGS report may also help you review the product before arranging a sample. Confirm which documents are available for the selected grade.

Quel type d'emballage avez-vous ? La personnalisation est-elle prise en charge ?

20 kg, 25 kg and 500 kg bags are listed among the packaging options. Custom packaging and customer branding can be discussed for the order.

How is your quality control?

Quality is our culture. We have a professional quality testing center that conducts chemical and physical tests on raw materials before production. We will control the quality of the goods during all the mass production. Please let us know immediately if you are not satisfied with Huamei's quality or service.

Quel est le prix par tonne de charbon actif et quelle est la quantité minimum de commande ?

Pricing and order requirements depend on the selected grade, specification, quantity, packaging and delivery destination. Send these details with your inquiry so we can confirm the quotation and applicable minimum order quantity.

How do I choose between coal-based and coconut shell GAC?

Coal-based and coconut shell GAC differ in raw material and pore characteristics. Compare documented grades against your target contaminant, operating conditions and test requirements rather than selecting by raw material or iodine value alone.

How should I select the mesh size?

Choose particle size against the equipment design, required contact, pressure drop, flow or slurry conditions, and fines control. Confirm the sieve standard and size distribution before ordering.

How often should granular activated carbon be replaced?

Replacement depends on operating conditions and the required outlet performance. Monitor the relevant contaminant or process indicator and follow the agreed breakthrough or replacement criteria. There is no single service interval for every GAC system.

Prenez contact avec nous dès aujourd'hui !

For a quotation, send the application, required particle size, specification or TDS, quantity and delivery destination. If you are replacing an existing carbon, include its grade or a recent analysis.
